An old Victorian terrace being used as offices was to be tastefully decorated inside and out, restoring its former glory in a traditional way.
This contract involved full internal painting and decorating, carpet removal, picture rails and cornices put up and floor sanding and varnishing.
First thing we had to do was remove all the existing carpets to see what the floorboards were like underneath. Quite a few had to be replaced due to wood worm and rot but the majority were sound. The hard work here came in buring all the old adhesive off without destroying the boards.
Once all nail heads were popped back in and all loose boards were secured, we brought in an edging sanded and large drum sander to sand the floorboards back ready for staining and varnishing.
All internal ceilings and walls heavily prepared with hours of filling and sanding. All ceilings and walls were painted with vinyl matt emulsion and woodwork finished in eggshell.
The floors were finished in a walnut woodstain and then sealed with a diamond glaze
